China just introduced a low-cost variant of 2022 Aston Martin DBX equipped with a mild hybrid six-cylinder engine.
Mercedes-AMG sourced the powertrain. The engine is a 3.0-liter turbocharged six-cylinder paired to an integrated starter generator 48-volt (ISG). This engine can produce 435 HP and 383 Lb-ft (522 Nm) respectively. The ISG provides an extra 184 Lb-ft (265 Nm) for acceleration that lasts up to three times.
A nine-speed automatic transmission is coupled to the engine to send power to all four wheels. In 5.4 seconds, the SUV can reach 62 mph (100 km/h), and then continue on to 161 mph (259km/h).

The six-cylinder DBX differs from all other models within the range due to a number of components. The DBX has a Mercedes AMG electronic limited-slip differential in the rear. It also has a carbon fiber driveshaft, adjustable air suspension with three chambers, and 48-volt electronic controlled anti-roll bars.
While the mild-hybrid variant of the Aston Martin DBX doesn’t have the performance to match its 542 hp V8 sibling, it is more fuel efficient as it has a claimed combined fuel economy figure of 10.5 l/100 km (22.4 mpg) under WLTP testing compared to 14.3 l/100 km (16.4 mpg) combined for the V8 model.
There are many unique options for mild-hybrid models, with a range of 21-23 inches. For distinguishing it from the other versions, the SUV has distinctive Straight-Six lettering in its quarter panels.
The local pricing of 2022 Aston Martin DBX Straight-Six begins at 1.898million Chinese yuan (297,000), which is significantly less than the 2.298million Chinese yuan (360,000) price starting for the V8 model.
