Ford announced Friday the 2022 Mustang Shelby GT500 Heritage Edition. This special edition model pays homage to 1967 Shelby GT500.
Heritage Edition cars are adorned with the 1967-inspiring Brittany Blue paint. There are two options for Wimbledon White racing stripes: vinyl or painted. This version also includes side stripes. Ford has also added the Code Orange color of the F-150 Raptor in 2021 to its non-Heritage Edition GT500 range for the model year 2022.
While the Heritage Edition does not bring about any changes to the engine, it still has a supercharged GT500 V-8 that produces 625 horsepower and 760 lb-ft. The power is transmitted to the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
The 2.3-liter turbo-4 Mustang EcoBoost receives a special edition for 2022.

The Coastal Limited Edition features 19-inch aluminum machined-face wheels, tarnished black-paint accents, side stripes made of vinyl that run up the hood and rear fender scoops. It also includes a pedestal rear spoiler, black grille and Coastal Badging.
The Mustang EcoBoost Premium is the basis for the Coastal Limited Edition. It can be ordered in coupe and convertible body types, with limited paint choices such as Brittany Blue or Cyber Orange.
The price for the 2022 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 is $76,695, which includes a $1195 destination fee and $2,600 gasoline guzzler taxes. You will pay $12,140 for painted stripes, while the Heritage Edition adds $2140. The Coastal Limited Edition costs $1,995 more than the base $34,220 price for a 2022 Mustang EcoBoost Premium.
