5 Reasons Why You Need To Take A North Carolina Practice Permit Test

There are many things you can do to get ready for taking your North Carolina permit DMV test, from studying the North Carolina DMV driver’s manual to getting plenty of experience behind the wheel.

But one more thing that you should do in order to get ready for your permit test will be to take a practice permit test, which will have questions on it that are very similar to the actual DMV test.

Here are the top five reasons why you will need to take a North Carolina practice permit test:

1 – You Get Immediate Feedback

One of the best reasons to take the practice permit tests is the fact that you get immediate feedback. When you take the real DMV test, you’ll be given your score at the end of the test.

If you did not pass the test, you won’t get any feedback of any kind to find out which questions you got wrong, which can understandably be frustrating. But when you take practice tests, you’ll be given the correct answers to any that you got wrong.

2 – You’ll Get To Get A Feel For The Real Test

Just so you know, the practice sample exams on traffic rules are not going to be the exact same exam that the DMV gives you. So from that point of view, it’s not like you can take a practice test, memorize all of the questions and answers, and then ace your DMV test that way.

But that being said, the practice tests will be able to give you a solid feel for what the real DMV test is like. This will make the real DMV test feel a lot less intimidating, and you should be much more confident walking into it that way as well.

3 – It’s A Great Way To Study

Something you can do will be to effectively treat your practice tests like they are study guides for the DMV test. After completing each question, you’ll be given the correct answer to each one.

You can then compile these questions and answers into a document that can act as your study guide. If you study this along with the DMV driver’s manual, you should be good to go and well prepared for when the actual test begins.

4 – You Can Take Them Multiple Times

There is no limit to how often you can take a practice test. You could literally take a practice test one hundred times if you wanted to.

The benefit here is that as long as you have the time, you can keep taking the practice tests until you get the answers to most questions down. When you walk into take your real DMV permit test, you’ll be much better prepared for it.

5 – You’ll Learn More About The Rules of the Road

Remember, you shouldn’t take practice tests with the simple aim of memorizing all of the answers to questions so you can already have answers memorized for the DMV questions.

For one thing, while many of the questions and answers may overlap, not all of the questions on your real DMV permit test are going to be exactly the same as they are in your practice tests, so that wouldn’t be a wise move anyway.

But beyond that, the practice tests will help teach you what the real rules of the road are as well, for both the United States and for North Carolina specifically. Treat the practice tests as being a means to help you become a better driver, and not just as a means for how you can pass the driving exams.

Taking North Carolina Practice Permit Tests

Taking practice permit tests will honestly be one of the very best ways that you can prepare for your actual DMV permit test. Don’t think of taking practice tests as being a waste of time.

In reality, spending time taking practice tests (and preferably taking them multiple times) will ensure you have much better odds of passing your DMV test on your first go while also ensuring that you become better educated about the rules of the road so you’ll also be a safer driver.

Take note that the practice tests should not be the only study method you use for getting ready for your DMV permit test. Studying the DMV manual and getting experience behind the wheel will count even more.
