General Motors announced that its all-electric GMC Hummer EV will be available to customers starting in December. They also disclosed that it boasts an EPA-estimated 329 mile (529km) range.
The first variant of the GMC Hummer EV to be offered to the public is the $100,000+ Edition 1 and this is the version that’s been rated at 329 miles of range. The Hummer EV claims that it can travel 5 miles less than the reported 334 miles (or 537 kilometers) according to a report earlier in the month.

The electric powertrain that powers the Hummer EV Edition 1 flagship Hummer is a three-motor, 200 kWh battery and an electrical motor. The insane pickup truck pumps out 1,000 hp and can hit 60 mph (96 km/h) in just 3.0 seconds with the ‘Watts to Freedom’ launch control system enabled.
Duncan Aldred, GMC’s chief executive officer, confirmed to reporters that from 2023 more economical variants and longer ranges would be made available. Aldred said that nearly half of those 125,000 who have indicated interest have paid $100 to reserve one.
GMC equipped the Hummer Evo with a high performance powertrain and a four-wheel steering system. This gives it a turning circle that is just 37.1ft (11.3m), which is less than what you would get from a Chevrolet Sonic. A Crab Walk feature allows the four-wheel steering to turn all four wheels simultaneously, which allows the pickup’s ability to go diagonally.
