Hyundai Ioniq 5 And Tucson To Appear On Spider-Man: No Way Home


Hyundai announced that both the fully electric Ioniq 5 and the Tucson SUV will be featured in the upcoming blockbuster ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ that is scheduled to premiere in movie theaters on December 17, making their Hollywood debut.

The Ioniq 5 also stars in this latest television spot, alongside Spider-Man, played by Tom Holland and Ned Leeds, played by Jacob Batalon. The 90-second commercial called “Only Way Home” was directed by Jon Watts, the director of the latest Spider-Man trilogy. The storyline suggests that Spider-Man is heading to New York, making use of the Ioniq 5’s 300-mile electric range. The 30-second clip will be shown on TV programs across the US, Europe and China as well as Russia through January 2022.

The film will feature the Hyundai Tucson electric car, and a poster with the special edition featuring it. This commercial will feature the Tucson alongside Tom Holland (Spider-Man) in a 30 second spot.

This exciting film and the two vehicles’ inclusion in key moments of the storyline played by the main characters will exhilarate the minds of millions of viewers around the world.”

Spider-Man, No Way Home is third in the ongoing trilogy from Sony Pictures/Marvel Studios. It follows Spider-Man Homecoming (2017) and Spider-Man Far From Home (192019), both of which had the same cast. The second installment of the Academy Award-winning animated Spider-Man film Spider-Man Into The Spider-Verse (2018) is the next stage. This movie will premiere in October 2022.

Hyundai will continue its global marketing campaign with “additional marketing schemes to support future films in 2022”, while it will promote the current movie on video boards at Piccadilly Circus in London.
