The 2022 Lincoln Aviator will enter the next model year largely unchanged. Only one update is the Jet Appearance package for the luxurious SUV.
Jet Appearance Package updates the Monochromatic Reserve Package with gloss black trim. This includes a blacked grille, lower fascia and 22-inch wheels. You can also black out the roof rails, mirror caps and lower body, as well as wheel-lip moldings.
You can choose from four different body colors: Infinite Black (Pristine), Infinite Black (Silver Radiance), and Burgundy Velvet.
Lincoln didn’t make any mention of mechanical improvements for the 2022 Aviator. Therefore, expect powertrains will continue to work. The majority of versions have a twin-turbo, 3.0-liter V-6 that produces 400 horsepower and 415 lbft. It is available with either a standard rear-wheel drive system or an optional all-wheel drive.

Three-row Aviator has a common platform with Ford Explorer and is located below Lincoln’s Navigator.
The Lincoln Aviator Grand Touring plug in hybrid is only available with all-wheel drive. It adds a 75-kw electric motor (100 horsepower) to the total system output of 494 HP and 630 lbft. An EPA-rated 13.6-kwh lithium-ion battery packs provides 21 miles of electric driving range.
Pricing for the Aviator Reserve trim will be announced closer to launch. The Jet Appearance Package is available on Aviator Reserve trim levels. Prices for 2022 Aviator start at $51,465 (before destinations) for the Standard trim with rear-wheel driving.
Lincoln revealed an Aviator Shinola design concept this year. It was inspired by Shinola’s luxury products, but no details have been given on the production plans.
