This 1973 Ford Bronco Restomod Hides The Heart Of A Mustang Under Its Hood

Although the new Ford Bronco is an instant hit, some still want a model with eight cylinders. Enter this 1973 Bronco restomod, which is essentially in like-new condition and features a Mustang’s V8 under the hood.

A Bronco with a total of 130 miles (209km) has been added since restoration. The exact mileage, however, is not yet known. You will receive all the paperwork and documentation from the construction process, including the 1973 original paperwork.

This exterior has a classic shade of British Racing Green. The trim is bronze and there is red branding throughout. For style and functionality, the exterior features include custom bumpers and fender flares. There are also tinted glasses, LED lighting and Warn winches. And going back to that gorgeous paintwork, to achieve it, the SUV’s body (including the hardtop) was media blasted down to bare metal and placed on a rotisserie before being refinished in the metallic hue along with multiple subsequent clear coats.

The Bronco’s interior also displays a similar level of refinement and attention to detail. The tan leather upholstery, which is entirely custom-made, can be found on the center console, front seat, back bench, dashboard and headliner as well as the steering wheel and door cards. The SUV comes with a variety of modern amenities including a Vintage Air climate system, RetroSound stereo system with Bluetooth and new speakers, as well as a gauge cluster and steering wheels.

Finally, there’s the main event: the engine. Powering the Bronco is the same 5.0L “Coyote” V8 found in modern Mustangs to make sure the restomod isn’t all show and no go. The engine’s power is sent to all four wheels via a Dana 20, transfer case and 6-speed auto transmission. It even gets its cover painted in green, to match its exterior and engine bay. Other mechanical upgrades include a new exhaust system, a 3.5″ suspension lift, new shocks, and new sway bars.
