We’re Driving The 2022 Hyundai Ioniq 5, What Do You Want To Know?

Call me old-fashioned but there aren’t many electric vehicles out there that actually excite me to drive and experience. We will soon be driving the 2022 Hyundai Iliq 5, one of the few electric vehicles that exist.

The Ioniq 5 is available in Australia as a single trim with one powertrain. A two-wheel drive version with just 214 HP and 258 Lb-ft (350Nm), of torque is at the bottom of the range. It starts from AU$71,900 ($52,400) and is been joined by an AWD variant with 302 hp and 446 lb-ft (605 Nm) of torque that’s priced from AU$75,900 ($55,300).

We’ll be driving the AWD variant and want you to send us as many questions as possible that you have about the car. We’ll endeavor to answer them after our review.

No doubt one of the most common questions we’ve already seen about the Ioniq 5 is whether or not it is as good as the Tesla Model 3, which has quickly established itself as the benchmark for semi-affordable EVs. We’ve sampled a couple of Model 3s in our time and are also intrigued to see how the Hyundai matches up. It is a little larger than Tesla’s Model 3, but we will be curious to compare the fit and finish, as well how it stacks up in technology.

Don’t forget to ask your questions.
