Today is Cyber Monday and that means online retailers will be busy as consumers are expected to spend $11.3 (£8.5 /€10) billion.
While that’s less than previous years, customers who order from Amazon could find themselves receiving their item in a special box from Volkswagen.
A blue box is designed to promote Taos. It contains a QR Code that takes users to an augmented reality web experience. The latter features a virtual 3D city and users can select between four different “musical moods,” each featuring a different colored crossover.

While you don’t get to drive the vehicle, Volkswagen is enticing users to take part by offering three months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free. You can view the entire experience at this link.
Volkswagen said the campaign is designed to highlight the “joy of driving” and show “how it’s more than going from Point A to B.” Volkswagen’s Kimberley Gardiner added, “This innovative, virtual introduction to our all-new Taos gives potential buyers a unique, music-driven way to experience another moment of joy from this SUV.”
